Results of the Elections to the Board of the “U.S. Alumni Association of Armenia” NGO
The Congress and the elections of the new Board members of the the “U.S. Alumni Association of Armenia” NGO (USAAA) took place on 5 February 2011.
77 USAAA signed for and participated in the General Meeting
Mr. Karen Zadoyan, Speaker of the Board of the organization opened the Congress. Further Ms Lusine Mkrtchyan, U.S. Embassy alumni coordinator took the floor. Mr. Hovhannes Hovhannisyan was elected the Chair of the Congress. Ms Armine Gevorgyan, Mr. Gevorg Muradyan and Ms Marine Grigoryan were elected to members of the Election Committee. Ms. Lusine Mkrtchyan was elected secretary of the Election Committee.
Election of the new Board was held after the reports of Mr. Karen Zadoyan, Speaker of the Board, and Mr. Kachik Gevorgyan, USAAA Executive Director.
19 (nineteen) USAAA members had file their candidacy to the Board. After summarizing the results nine members were elected to the Board. Mr. Karen Zadoyan, AYLA President collected majotity of votes.
