AYLA Yerevan Branch was established by the decision of the Board of Armenian Young Lawyers Association on November 26 2004. Before that, since May 1, 2001 it operated as a Yerevan program office of the Association.

Yerevan Office of Armenian Young Lawyers Association carries out its activities in two main areas:

• Activities aimed at raising the level of legal awareness of the Yerevan population through provision of free legal services and dissemination of information.
• Activities aimed at raising the level of the professional skills of Armenian lawyers and law students.

The AYLA Yerevan Branch Office provides free legal services to the population of Yerevan and nearby regions.
The office periodically organizes broadcasting of radio programs on the Public Radio of Armenia, which cover the most acute legal issues for the population.
The AYLA Yerevan Branch Office organizes seminars on different legal fields, as well as human rights and other related issues.
The AYLA Yerevan Branch Office provides the following services and legal resources to lawyers, advocates, law students, and other persons:

• modern legal literature and videotapes,
• computer, e-mail, and fax services,
• computer software program of Armenian legislation.
