AYLA branch of Gegharkunik region was established by the decision of the Board of Armenian Young Lawyers Association made on January 28, 2000.
The branch carries out activities on the whole territory of Gegharkunik region.

Gegharkunik branch of Armenian Young Lawyers Association carries out its activities in two main directions:

• activities aimed at raising the level of legal awareness of the population through provision of free legal services and dissemination of information
• activities aimed at raising the level of professional skills of the law students and lawyers.

AYLA Gavar office of Gegharkunik branch provides free legal services to the population of the Gegharkunik region.
The office has organized broadcasting of TV programs on Gavar Local TV Company, which covered the most acute legal issues.
AYLA Gavar office of Gegharkunik branch periodically organizes seminars that cover different areas of the law, human rights etc.
AYLA Gavar office of Gegharkunik branch provides the following services and legal resources to the law students, young lawyers advocates as well as to other individuals:

• modern legal literature
• computer and fax services
• computer software program of Armenian legislation.
