Kotayk AAC contributes to raising the Level of Legal Consciousness of Hrazdan Citizens
During the period of 19 through 21 June 2010, Kotayk AAR prepared and posted in public accessible places of Hrazdan city, in the entrances of the buildings and in the bus stops as well as distributed among Hrazdan citizens over one hundred information leaflets, which distinctly indicated the fixed prices for records and other operations in the State Registry Bodies provided in the Republic of Armenia Law on State Tax
This rather mere event recorded an unexpected response, it caused a considerable reaction in the city, because the real cost of the set payments and even free of charge realization of some services were a surprise for the most of the readers. This is an evidence of the fact that the undertaking of the AAC was timely and useful, and on the assumption of this Kotayk AAC has decided to make it continuous and organize such events continuously, each time referring to different spheres.
It is due to mention that Kotayk AAC organized such events previously as well, to make the activities of the local self government bodies more transparent and to ensure implementation of the clearly formulated legal provision the AAC defined and recommended as procedural change to undertake measures to ensure implementation of the requirement of Article 12.1 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Local Self-Government by the chiefs of all communities of the Marz, including the Mayor of Hrazdan city.
