Head of Kotayk AAC met with the Mayor and the Secretary of Staff of Municipality of Yeghvard City
On 16 April 2010, Mr. Marat Atovmyan, head of Kotayk AAC met with Mr. Norik Sargsyan, mayor of Yeghvard City. Mr. Atovmyan introduced to the attention of the Mayor the activities of AAC and offered to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between Yeghvard Municipality and the Armenian Young Lawyers Association. The Mayor accepted the offer. Further, on 20 April, Mr. Atovmyan met with Mr. Vardan Muradkhanyan, the Secretary of Staff of Municipality of Yeghvard City. He familiarized Mr. Muradkhanyan with the activities of Kotayk AAC and provided printed materials on the Advocacy and Assistance Center. The parties discussed issues referring to signing of Memorandum of Understanding between the city municipality and the AYLA as well. Further, the Municipality applied to the Head of the AAC with a request to organize trainings on anticorruption legal issue for the representatives of Yeghvard Municipality and the rural communities. The AAC expressed its willingness to organize such trainings.
