The demonstration was aimed to involve the public at large in struggle against corruption, to raise the public awareness on anticorruption issues and the mechanisms for the protection of their infringed rights. The participants of the Peaceful demonstration called the public to join the struggle against corruption and to prevent the corrupt activities in all their occurrences: Over 50 participants of the demonstration, including the representatives of the AYLA staff, YSU students, volunteers and staff of Tavush AAC, marched through the streets of Ijevan city carrying posters with anticorruption slogans and disseminated information leaflets on different spheres of the protection of human rights: Over four thousand leaflets were distributed among the population.

Further the participants of the demonstration visited the Monastery Makaravank, one of the unique monuments of the Armenian architecture of Middle Ages. Here, in one of the prettiest and cosy places of Tavush nature, the students held a discussion “Youth against Corruption,” after which they had time to relax, to socialize and to rest in the nature.
