Official Opening Ceremony of Advocacy and Assistance Reception Center of City Aparan of Aragatsotn Marz
On 10 June 2009, the official opening ceremony of Advocacy and Assistance Reception Center of City Aparan of Aragatsotn Marz supported by the Mobilizing Action against Corruption (MAAC) Activity of USAID, which is implemented by the Armenian Young Lawyers Association, took place in Aparan. Aparan City Mayor, Head of the Police, representatives of Prosecutor’s Office of Aragatsotn Marz, as well as of the local and state government bodies, international and local organizations took part in the opening ceremony. Mr. Eduardo Flores, Deputy Chief of Party of USAID MAAC Activity, Mr. Gor Abrahamyan, Aparan City Mayor, Mr. Arman Gasparyan, Senior Prosecutor of Aragatsotn Prosecutor’s Office spoke during the opening ceremony. Mr. Karen Zadoyan, President of the AYLA in his closing speech attached importance to the activities and importance of the Reception Center, and noted that it will be of great importance for raising legal awareness of the population in the region, as well as in struggle against corruption.
In the end, during the reception, Mr. Karen Zadoyan familiarized the guests with the activities of the Center.
