The 8th General Meeting of Armenian Young Lawyers Association took place
On 4 December 2008, the 8th General Meeting of the Armenian Young Lawyers Association took place in the Golden Tulip Yerevan Hotel. First, Mr. Karen Zadoyan, President of the Armenian Young Lawyers Association introduced the main strategic directions, to which the organization attended during its activities of the last two years.
Further, the AYLA President referred to the main goals, which the organization would have as its target in future. In particular, he mentioned the issues referring to the strengthening of the membership institute, and the AYLA structural subdivisions, the responsibilities of Board members, as well as the issues of improvement and stirring of the intraorganizational life, and realization of anticorruption activities and establishment and development of links with similar international and foreign organization. The report on utilization of the property and the financial assets of AYLA for the period of 01.12.2006 – 01.12.2008, was highly appreciated and adopted by the General Meeting.
The General Meeting elected Karen Zadoyan to the post of the AYLA President. David Abgaryan was elected to the post of the Vice-President, and Narine Karapetyan was elected the Responsible Secretary of the AYLA. Some changes took place in the membership of the Board. Artsrun Mirzoyan, Arshavir Khalapyan, Garik Hayrapetyan, Lusine Abgaryan, Lianna Harutyunyan, Arpine Yeghikyan, Marat Atovmyan, and Robert Grigoryan were elected AYLA Board Members. Then the heads the AYLA Regional Branches met to discuss the goals and objectives, which existed in the corresponding areas.
