Development of Mediation Institute in the Republic of Armenia
Since July 2005 Armenian Young Lawyers Association has started implementation of the project “Development of Mediation Institute in the Republic of Armenia.” The Eurasia Foundation supported project is carried out in cooperation with Small and Medium Enterprise Foundation (FSMB), and the technical support of ABA/CEELI. The project is aimed at the development and introduction of the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in Armenia, through educating the young lawyers, and the lawyers of small and medium enterprises (SME) by teaching them mediation technique and styles, introducing mediation guides, procedures, code of ethics and other necessary documents. AYLA published three information leaflets in the framework of the project: “Development of Mediation Courts and Mediation in Armenia” program, “Mediation Courts and Mediation,” and “Methods for Alternative Dispute Resolution.” The information leaflets are disseminated freely among the interested organizations and individuals.

The information leaflet describes the activities that the Armenian Young Lawyers Association would realize in the framework of the Eurasia Foundation supported project “Development of Mediation Institute in the Republic of Armenia,” as well as the expected results. It also provides information on the other similar projects.
