Z. Ghukasyan

1. Zinavor Ghukasyan
Judge, member of RA Constitutional Court

Zinavor Ghukasyan was born on May 25, 1939 in the village Tchartar, of Martuni region of the Autonomous Republic of Mountainous Kharabagh.
In 1961-1966 he studied and graduated from the law department of the Yerevan State University.
In 1966-1970 worked as an investigative officer in the prosecutor’s office of Yeghenadzor region of RA.
In 1970-1978 worked as a Prosecutor of Martuni and Kalinino regions of RA.
In 1978-1982 worked a Prosecutor of the General Supervision Department and Investigative department of RA Office of Public Prosecutor.
In 1982 was elected to the post of the judge of Shahumyan district of Yerevan, court president.
In 1985 was elected a member of the Supreme Court.
In 1998 was appointed a judge of RA Court of Appeal by the decision of RA President.
On February 11, 1999 was appointed a member of the Council of Justice by the decision of RA President.
On June 21, 1999 by the decision of RA President he received the title of "Judge of the Superior Rank."
In June 2003 was appointed the member of RA Constitutional Court.
Zinavor Ghukasyan has participated in different trainings, seminars and conferences abroad.

V. Gasparyan

2. Vrezh Gasparyan
Head of Office of State Legal Issues of the President’s Administration

Vrezh Gasparyan was born on March 31, 1962 in Yerevan.
In 1969-1979 he studied and graduated from Kirov school # 12 in Yerevan. After school he worked as a laboratory assistant in the Yerevan Branch of the Research Institute of Communication.
In 1980-1982 he served in the special communication battalion of the Soviet Armed Forces in the Far Eastern military district of the Russian Federation. After demobilization he returned to his previous workplace and worked as a senior technician of the laboratory.
In 1983-1985 he worked as a 4th grade linear worker in the 37th special mechanized department of “Yerevanshin” Union.
In 1985-1990 he studied and graduated from the faculty of law of Yerevan State University and was appointed to the Ministry of Justice as a young specialist.
In 1990-1996 he worked in the legislative department of RA Ministry of Justice as an advisor of the first category then as a leading advisor and the chief advisor.
In 1995-1996 he worked simultaneously in the Finance Ministry of RA as the chief legal advisor.
Since April 10, 1996 he worked in the President’s administration as the head of legal department.
On August 8, 1998 he was assigned Head of Office of State Legal Issues of the President’s Administration.
Mr. Vrezh Gasparyan holds the title of state advisor of justice of the second grade.

A. Arakelyan

3. Armineh Arakelian
International Lawyer, Representative of International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance in South Caucasian Region and Head of IDHR Office in Armenia

Born in Teheran-Iran, 1962. Currently resident in Armenia.
International Development Lawyer and Political Scientist, with two MA and one DESS degrees, graduated from Sorbonne - Pantheon Paris and Rene Descartes Universities in Paris-France.
Over the last fifteen years she has cooperated with intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations (including the United Nations and European Union) in the Middle East, Europe, Africa in promotion and protection of human rights, as well as humanitarian and development work.
As Lawyer and Senior Policy and Program Advisor she cooperated with UNHCR (UN High Commissioner for Refugees) headquarters in Geneva and field operations for a period of four years. As the Head of Human Rights Promotion Section she cooperated with European Union and UNHCHR (UN High Commissioner for Human Rights) within human rights area for a period of three years following the 1994 April Genocide in Rwanda (Africa). Currently she is the Head of Europe/CIS Program for democratic development within International IDEA, an intergovernmental organization.
Ms. Arakelian is the founder and president of IDHR since August 1999.

K. Zadoyan

4. Karen Zadoyan
Advocate, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Law Foundation of Armenia

Karen Zadoyan was born on February 20, 1970 in Yerevan.
In 1991-1996 he studied and graduated from the faculty of law of Yerevan State University.
Member of Advocates Union of Armenia; co-founder and Chair of Board of Trustees of the Law Foundation of Armenia; managing partner of "New Legal Group" LLC; member of the European Young Bar Association.
He has an experience of more than 10 years in the sphere of management of the non-governmental organizations and protection of human rights as well as a 6 years experience as an advocate. He is the author and initiator of the project of First Republican Scientific Conference of Law Students "Advocacy: Current Situation and Development Prospects in RA."
In 1996 - 2004 he participated in seminars, trainings and conferences in Armenia as well as in the foreign countries: the USA, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Sweden, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia, and Ukraine.
