NewsOfficial Ceremony of Signing of Memorandum of Understating between Tavush Marzpetaran and Armenian Young Lawyers Association took place. It is noteworthy that prior to signing the Memorandum of Understating with Tavush Governor, the Armenian Young Lawyers Association had signed such memorandums with the City Administrations of Ijevan, Dilijan, Berd, and Noyemberyan.

The US Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia visited the Advocacy and Assistance Center of the AYLA Tavush Regional Branch

NewsMs Marie L. Yovanovitch, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Armenian Republic visited the Advocacy and Assistance Center of the AYLA Tavush Regional Branch on 21 August 2009. The Ambassador’s visit was aimed to get acquainted with the work and activities of the Center and the mechanisms of struggle against the corruption.

Peaceful Demonstration of Advocacy and Assistance Center of Tavush Marz in Ijevan City

NewsOn 07.07 2009, Tavush Advocacy and Assistance Center of Ijevan City, in cooperation with the Students’ Council of Ijevan Branch of Yerevan State University, initiated a Peaceful Demonstration against corruption. The demonstration was aimed to involve the public at large in struggle against corruption, to raise the public awareness on anticorruption issues and the mechanisms for the protection of their infringed rights.

The Governor of Aragatsotn Marz of the RA, the Head of Aragatsotn Diocese of Armenian Apostolic Church, representatives of the RA Governmental and Local Government Bodies, as well as of the international and non-governmental organizations, and mass media attended the ceremony.

Self Assessment - 2008 of the Armenian Young Lawyers Association took place

AYLA Self Assessment - 2008

On 14 February 2009 the Armenian Young Lawyers Association (AYLA) organized a self-assessment workshop, which took place in the newly opened building of the German University in Armenia.
Thirty people participated in the self-assessment workshop, among them AYLA members, volunteers, representatives of the staff, as well as of AYLA Board and from partner organizations.

Elections to the National Assembly of the RA-2007

Starting 9 April 2007, the AYLA lawyers will provide free legal advice services to the public at large aimed at raising their awareness on the elections to the National Assembly.  AYLA has published 10 titles of information leaflets on electoral rights as well.
